Classroom Outdoors: P 4-6

CfE guidance on Outdoor Learning emphasizes its importance across the curriculum, e.g. in Skills for Learning, Life and Work and many aspects of Health & Wellbeing, as well as in more obvious areas such as Geography, Sciences or Global Citizenship. The SU Scotland Outdoor Centres at Lendrick Muir (near Kinross) and Alltnacriche (near Aviemore) offer away-day experiences and residential educational packages in support of Curriculum for Excellence.

The Centres’ P4-6 experiences include activity days or overnight residentials designed to help P4-P6′s develop confidence, teamwork and independence. All learning and activity programmes are age/stage-specific. SU specialist staff and qualified activity instructors work with the school to tailor programmes to suit their particular needs, all within the context of a Christian ethos.

Activities offered onsite include: Archery, Beach Volleyball, Bouldering, Bungee Run and Inflatable Slide, Bungee Trampolines, Crate Climbing, Crazy/Disc Golf, Football Pitch, High/Low Ropes Courses, Indoor Games Hall, Kayaking, Nature Trails & Walks, Orienteering, Raft Building, Team Challenges, Trail Biking

SU Scotland has been delivering school residential experiences for over 20 years.
