Volunteer for CVE

We couldn’t run without our amazing volunteers. There are some aspects of the charity you could get involved with listed here. Please email Lynn MacMillan Outreach Administrator if you would like any further information or to get involved. Thank you!

Website

The main focus of our website is our unique Resources Centre.

  • Do you have a background in teaching or working in schools and could fill in an off-line form for a given resource, to provide details such as a description of the resource and for whom it is most suitable? The details of this completed template will then be uploaded onto the web by the CVE administrator.
  • Could you actively find relevant resources for CVE to add to our Resources Centre?
  • Could you check our current resource pages are still up to date?

Photography and video

  • Would you be able to take high-quality photos or video to enhance our work? Specific ideas and compositions can be given as often as you would like.
  • Could you edit video footage to be effective on our websites and social media?
  • Would you like to be the subject in photos or video? Given a script would you be willing to film yourself/be filmed speaking?

Blogs

Do you have a Biblical view of a topic or issue which Christians may face in schools? Do you have information which can help support parents, teachers, Chaplains or Schools Workers? Blogs could be anything between about 150 to 1500 words, one-off or part of a series. Suggestions can be provided for blog or article titles and previous blogs read by searching for ‘blog’ on our website.

Social Media

  • A really simple way you can help the work of CVE is by engaging with our social media: commenting, sharing and tagging appropriately.

If you are able to get more involved then the following are suggestions:

  • Facebook – given guidelines, could you repost other page’s posts? Could you create general, or time specific posts (e.g. Bible verses over a photo, seasonal posts or prayers). Could you create a number of posts on a particular topic of your choice? Could you share CVE posts in a Facebook group where you’re a member? (e.g. a teachers’ or ministers’ group)
  • Twitter – given guidelines, could you help to develop our networking and posts on Twitter?
  • Instagram – given guidelines, could you create posts and high-quality photos to use?

Project Development

  • With support from our team, could you promote resources like 10 Must Know Bible Stories and Introducing the God Question? – e.g. through social media, finding/linking online, speaking face-to-face with groups of teachers, chaplains & Christian parents.
  • Could you be part of a management group for one or more projects?
