Afterbeat

Afterbeat is a worldwide evangelical movement of Christian Electronic Dance Music (EDM Music) artists who have a passion to use their music to give every individual the possibility to explore the meaning of life within a Christian perspective in partnership with the local Church. It has been operating for over 10 years.

Afterbeat is now based in Scotland and has developed lessons for schools with music artists, working within the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. The lessons focus on three areas:

At the end of a school project, Afterbeat works with local partners to organise an event in a local nightclub or accessible venue with Christian Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artists. These nights are always a huge hit with young people and give an opportunity for the teaching in school workshops to come together.

The Afterbeat website has an information for schools page, which includes examples for timing of lessons or assemblies, content themes, a school pack download and testimonials. School lessons are free of charge.
