Appollo 8’s Christmas Message

This is a fantastic clip from the three wise men travelling round the moon on Christmas Eve 1968. They came off script for their live radio broadcast to read the opening verses of Genesis 1.

The audio is available on other video clips with film of the flight but this is a great version using the unfolding still image of “earthrise” taken by that crew with background music added. School classes, groups and churches of any age will find this two and a half minute clip moving and thought-provoking. This would be particularly useful for science and faith discussion topics and materials needed for Christmas time.
