Scottish Bible Society: resources for schools, churches and families
Bibleworld Books is an innovative resource designed for churches to use in small groups with school-age children. There are some free PowerPoint resources with notes of some Bible stories which could be easily used in a school setting or for children/parents to read at home.
Adapted from the Bible text, each storybook has bright, original illustrations and is carefully resourced to promote literacy, reading and learning while helping children to explore the Bible together.
Free PowerPoints are available for the following stories: Moses and the Israelites Escaping Egypt, The Ten Commandments, Noah and the Ark, David and Goliath, Daniel and the Lions’ Den, Creation, Jesus is Born, Mary and the Angel, A Story of Two Sons, The Good Samaritan, Jesus Feeds a Crowd and A Tale of Two Gardens.
In addition, ‘Mary and the Angel’ and ‘Jesus is Born’ are available as short films which can be downloaded. Ideas for all ages to chat about the videos are also given:
