It’s Your Move transition resource for Primary 7s

Out of the Box and SU Scotland put together an Its Your Move online resource for P7s transitioning up to High School.  This is available free of charge. It is a useful supplementary resource for teachers and pupils as they look ahead to planning transition to High School.

The resource is based on the SU England and Wales material, and highlights CHANGES, CHALLENGES AND CHOICES that young people face as they move into S1. There will be a video-based look at the Bible and how Joshua navigated the changes, challenges and choices on his journey. Alongside this there will be quizzes, challenges and times of reflection around the themes of change, challenge and choice. We are hoping it will be fun, engaging and helpful for P7s who won’t be getting to transition to High School in the normal way.

Something to consider would be asking your local church if they would be happy to cover the cost of an It’s Your Move booklet to be given to each P7, if the school would be happy to pass these booklets out to the children. The booklets can be purchased here. SU England and Wales have produced a short video that explains how the booklet can be used, although the video isn’t essential to the book.
