Pray for Schools Scotland

CVE Scotland are passionate about prayer for schools – by individuals and prayer groups. As well as signing up to receive news and prayer requests from CVE Scotland working in schools, we’d encourage you to also link up with this national prayer for schools network.

“Every school a prayed for school!” That is the vision of Pray for Schools Scotland – to mobilise Christians to support their school communities through prayer. Watch the Pray for Schools Scotland video to explain more.

The need to pray for schools!

Children and young people spend the majority of their waking hours in school – far more than in church or at home! We know schools have a huge impact on their attitudes, ideas and thinking: about themselves, the world, and God. Christian pupils, teachers and other school staff members feel increasingly pressurised, particularly as regards to living out their faith in the school context. They need God’s help. Will you pray for them?

As Christians, we want pupils and teachers to know that God goes with them into the school community – and that their local church cares enough to pray. Knowing people are praying for you makes such a difference. By praying for your local school, you demonstrate God’s heart for your community in a really tangible way. Prayer changes things. It makes a difference. Will you pray for your local school?
