Salvation Army: Issues

This is a set of 6 lessons designed for pupils aged 14-16 years old, exploring the Salvation Army’s standpoints on the Environment, Human Genetic Engineering, Human Sexuality, Marriage, Poverty, Work.

These resources are linked to The Salvation Army positional statements and are specifically designed for 14- to 16- year-olds studying for a Religious Education qualification. They could also be used in Core RME (Levels 3 and 4), and specific Curriculum for Excellence Experiences and Outcomes are referenced in each lesson.

The topics covered are: Environment, Human Genetic Engineering, Human Sexuality, Marriage, Poverty, Work

Each lesson outline uses a range of learning activities. Each lesson can be free-standing, or together they can introduce a longer topic looking at different aspects of The Salvation Army. The outlines are supported by downloadable PowerPoints, and worksheets &/or activity cards in PDF format.
