The Schoolswork Website is a significant source of advice, assembly outlines, lesson plans and other resources targeted at Christian Schools Workers and School Chaplains. Some advice and/or materials are clearly only relevant south of the Border, but far more is equally useful in any part of the UK. The resources are labelled in terms of Primary, Secondary, 16+ and SEN but can be easily adapted for Curriculum for Excellence.

The website also has resources and activity ideas for assemblies, classroom lessons and lunchtime groups. Many of these resources will also be useful for teachers.

More specialist resources include an anger management resource for teenagers, advice on supporting a self-harmer and the importance of having an eSafety Policy. There is also a wealth of advice on everything from developing a long-term schools work strategy to managing a new schools worker.

Schoolswork.co.uk currently has a membership of over 15,000. Membership is free and involves simple online registration, which gives access to a UK network of school workers and chaplains. It is possible to contact other community members either anywhere in the UK or in your region via secure (and initially anonymous) email.

The project is run by a team of three schools workers and has close links with other major projects such as selfharm.co.uk, Romance Academy, Amaze and the Youthwork Magazine.
