Transition-themed Reflective Trails from 10 Must Know Bible Stories

10 Must Know Bible Stories has put together some of their Prayer Space ideas into easy to set up outdoor trails. These trails allow children to reflect on how they’re feeling about moving up a class. They encourage children to identify their worries and hopes and to look back and celebrate the good things from the past year.

There are 3 trails, one for Nursery children moving up to P1, one for P1-P6 classes and one for P7s moving up to the academy.

They are called Prayer Trails and there are videos to introduce them which focus on Christian belief around prayer and also explain that they work as reflective trails and are a safe space for children of all beliefs to explore their emotions. Youtube links for the videos are included in the teacher instructions.

The trails are easy to set up for staff; the instruction sheets need printing and laminating and then placed around an outdoor space. There are a few resources needed at the different stations but nothing that should be too hard to find and set up.
