Lockdown Anniversary Prayer
On Tuesday 23rd March it will be exactly a year since the first Covid-19 lockdown in Scotland. Many organisations are marking this, thinking of ways to reflect and remember.
Here is a prayer which could be shared in schools. If you are working in school you could consider using it with your pupils. A Prayer on the Anniversary of the First Coronavirus Lockdown in Scotland
On this date, 23rd March, exactly a year ago, Scotland went into its first lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Dear God, our Heavenly Father,
As the country continues to deal with Coronavirus we give thanks for our medical staff, carers and key workers. May they be protected and have peace.
Many people have lost their lives to Coronavirus. May their family and friends be comforted and feel loved. For those still with symptoms of the virus, may they be healed.
You know we are looking forward to when we can be with all our friends and family again, doing the activities we love and visiting different places. May we keep positive through these different times at school and home; thankful for what we do have, looking to the needs of others, being kind to everyone and being hopeful as we look to celebrating Easter soon.
