Love Your Receptionist!
Wednesday, 8 May is International Receptionists’ Day!
Whatever your involvement with your local school, you’ll know just how hard your school receptionist/office team works — and how the school just couldn’t function without them.
Are you a parent or a school chaplain? In the first week of May, why not:
- drop in on the school office
- explain that Wednesday is Love Your Receptionist Day
- say that you would like to thank them for all they do
…. And bring them some gifts to show your appreciation? Maybe a box of biscuits, a box of tea bags, some cakes — and of course a Thank You card. It’ll open up conversations you wouldn’t otherwise have, and you’ll get to know your school receptionists a whole lot better. Your relations with schools will be strengthened just by doing something a little bit different.
And of course, if you’re a teacher (or a headteacher), you’ll know just how much you rely on your colleagues in the office. Cream cakes certainly wouldn’t go amiss!
