Study title – Research and CPD offer for School Chaplains, namely the Induction Provision and the Practical Offer

Invitation and brief summary

This project is part of a Research and Development partnership with Centre for Chaplaincy in Education (CCE). Newman are being funded by CCE to carry out research and development within the sector to find out current status of training of School Chaplains within the UK; the training/ CPD needs of Chaplains in Schools, FE and Sixth Forms and to explore what training/induction/CPD programme(s) would be viable.

What is the research about?

This stage of the research is about the role of chaplains in Schools, FE and Sixth Forms, what training chaplains have received and what is needed, the skills needed and utilised by chaplains and how these are developed.

Who is the research funded by?

The Centre for Chaplaincy in Education.

Why have I been chosen to participate?

People working in or engaging with chaplaincy in school, FE or Sixth forms are being invited to participate to share their experiences of the roles, skills and therefore training needed to support those working as chaplains in these settings.
