School Ministry Training Day – 8th November online
Wednesday, 8th November 2023, 10:00 – 16:00, online
Book here: Eventbrite School Ministry Training Day
Do you go into schools as part of your paid or voluntary work with a church? Are you a youth worker who visits schools? Or someone who has a vision for partnering with your local school? This School Ministry Training Day is for you!
Run by the Church of Scotland Education and Schools Group and led by education and chaplaincy specialists, including CVE Scotland’s School Chaplaincy project leader, Rev. Steve Younger (Minister of High Blantyre Baptist Church), the training day is open to all denominations to attend.
The training will explore the missiological opportunity to build strong partnerships with local schools. We will gain an understanding of the Scottish educational context and curriculum, and get practical insights in key areas of engagement and building supportive relationships with pupils and staff, contribution to Time for Reflection and the curriculum as well as pastoral care and support.
This is a great opportunity for those involved in schools to develop their understanding and skills and be better equipped to make impact in the context of schools. This could be part of your training or Continuing Professional Development.
‘It is so important to show God’s love in whatever way the school requires it, because in doing so, we are able to show Christ’s love in really practical ways in our community’.
This event will run from 10 to 4.00pm, with good screen breaks. Further information can be found on the Eventbrite booking page.
