Scottish Government Consultation on changes to RME/RO in schools

The Scottish Government Scottish issued a consultation paper on 14th November to gather views on proposed amendments to legislation on Religious Observation and Religious & Moral Education in the light of UNCRC becoming statute in July of this year.

The 6-page consultation paper is available here, as is the Respondent Information Form which focuses on six key questions.

There is a response deadline of 26 January 2025.

Individuals and groups are invited to feedback their views on the paper. CVE Scotland will be making a submission and if you would like us to consider incorporating you own views on the suggested legal changes, please email Lynn at cve@cve-scotland.org.uk.
