Spiritual development within the Curriculum for Excellence
Spiritual development within Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence is the title of a new initiative launched in Denny High School on October 22nd. The 40 delegates enjoyed a varied programme including talks from Joe Walker, Education Scotland and our own Rev Dr Steve Younger. The aims of the initiative broadly speaking are to develop spirituality as an integral part of the Health and Well-being arm of the curriculum and to equip and resource school chaplains. The launch of this initiative was warmly welcomed by all present, as was the appearance in print of Steve’s handbook: Time for Reflection, a Guide to School Chaplaincy and Spiritual Development.
