Swimming Against The Tide

CVE Scotland and SU Scotland warmly invite you to a dinner for Christian teachers and others who work in schools on the evening of 3rd June 2019 at The Faith Mission, (548 Gilmerton Road, Edinburgh, EH17 7JD) from 5.30pm for a 6pm start finishing at 8pm. We will enjoy a two-course dinner together, hear from speakers Nigel Kenny (Christian Institute) and Euan Dodds (Holyrood Evangelical Church) and have opportunity to discuss and pray together.
There will be relevant resources available also.

The theme of the evening is: ‘Swimming against the Tide – Living out our Faith in a Changing Culture’. Nigel Kenny has been the Christian Institute’s Scotland Officer for the past eight years. Prior to that, he was a solicitor for twenty years. The Institute has been at the forefront of protecting Christians’ freedoms in the U.K., most recently with the ground-breaking Ashers decision in the Supreme Court. Nigel has spoken extensively on these issues and will address us on the potential benefits of the case for Christian teachers. Euan Dodds is Associate Minister of Holyrood Evangelical Church in Edinburgh.

The cost of the event is £12 per person, preferably to be paid in cash at the event door.

Please email Victoria Myles at cve@cve-scotland.org.uk to book your place, including any dietary requirements or other requests. In order for The Faith Mission to process the food orders in time please book by Monday 20th May at the very latest.

Thank you.
We hope to see you on the 3rd June, if not before!
